To fulfill the long cherished demand of the citizens of Muzaffarpur and to cater to the educational needs of their children, Kendriya Vidyalaya Muzaffarpur was established under the Deptt. of Human Resource and Development, Govt. of India in October 1986 at Aghoria Bazar Chowk. At present this Vidyalaya is running in its own building which was inaugurated on February 5th 1997 by Mrs Lizzie Jacob, The then commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, new Delhi This Vidyalaya is situated in Gannipur beside shri Krishna Jubilee law collage.
